Seattle’s increasingly chic Further imprint step forward with this unreleased live session from 1972 from the prolific early innovator of electronic music and co-founder of Tangerine Dream and Kluster. Simply titled ‘Live '72’, the album documents an experimentally-inclined concert Schnitzler played nearly 40 years ago. It is his second release for Further so far: one of the label's early cassettes was a recording of a concert from the mid '80s, which was itself a reissue of a rare tape release; ‘Live '72’ is all previously unheard, comprised of 12 untitled tracks ranging in length from under three minutes to over 16. Mastered at D&M Berlin, the album comes in screen-printed gatefold sleeve, and is sure to sell fast, being the subject of much excitement in the blogosphere ever since the label first announced its impending release.
